Welcome 2021 - WE ARE OPEN 🌱
In a recent interview, we were asked for the vision and mission statements for the shop which met a sheepish confession that we’d never articulated either. So we thought we’d better write them.
Vision statement:
To build and nurture a community of artisans and hand made enthusiasts founded on passion and purpose. A space that is fueled by human connection.
Mission statement:
The discovery and distribution of thoughtfully designed, well made work that is functional and beautiful and subscribes to the sentiments of beauty for the everyday and cherishing the mundane.
It was trickier than we imagined to land these cards by two of our fave Americans @elizabeth_gilbert_writer x @emily_mcdowell_studio but we think you’ll be glad we persisted.
‘Emily McDowell and friends make products that speak to the human condition with honesty, humour and heart. Their products are designed for the relationships we really have with the mission to help people connect when they’re not sure what to say.’
Though we’ve mostly been sharing clouds on here (#sorrynotsorry 🙃), we have had big days sourcing and unpacking beautiful new pieces for your homes and hearts ready for our first 2021 trading day this Thursday, January 21.
