Pinch Pot Clay Class

When: Saturday April 6, 2019

Time: 1:30 – 4:30

Where: Onegirlstudio – 314A Oxley Road, Graceville

The combination of buff raku clay, various tools and hands can result in a variety of beautiful ceramic wares which can be used as functional items or pieces of whimsy.

This class is led by Sarah Cattoni and Kim Murray who are both practising artists and art teachers (at a Brisbane GPS school).  Through their profession, they have experienced a wide variety of media and techniques, but the organic and hands-on nature of ceramics is what attracts them most to clay.

In this three hour introductory workshop, Sarah + Kim will take you through some simple pottery hand building techniques to create cups, bowls or other simple vessels. The creation of pinch pots employs simple techniques that can achieve varying outcomes through a fun and rewarding process.

All tools, clay and materials for decorating and firing are included in the class price, along with champagne and light refreshments.

Following the workshop, all pieces will be dried, fired and glazed by Sarah + Kim. Pieces will be available for collection in store once firing is complete.  Please allow approximately 4 weeks for this process.

To secure one of twelve places, please purchase a seat here or in store.
